Tired of searching through storage units in Storage Hunters Open World? Try your luck with Fishing instead. You can catch valuable items and fish from any body of water across the map using a Fishing Rod. You can also participate in the Fishing Event that lets you catch a variety of fish and earn additional rewards. In this guide, we'll explain everything you need to know about Fishing in Roblox's Storage Hunters Open World.

How to Fish in Storage Hunters Open World

To start fishing, you'll need to visit the Fishing Pond NPC first. You can interact with the NPC once you have a Net Worth of $10,000. Next, you will require a Fishing Rod. You can obtain one from Farmyard Auctions. Fishing Rods have limited durability and will break once all their uses are depleted. Unfortunately, you cannot repair a broken Fishing Rod with a Wrench, so your only option is to sell it.

Once you have a Fishing Rod, follow these steps to catch fish:

  1. Head to a Lake or River and cast your line.
  2. Wait for something to bite, then complete the reeling mini-game.
  3. To successfully reel in your catch, keep the yellow indicator inside the highlighted catch zone until the progress bar fills.
  4. Once you've completed the mini-game, the fish will automatically load into your vehicle.

How to Get The Fishing Quest

You can receive fishing quests from the Fishing Pond NPC. Find him on the pier by the Lake. Before you can accept any quests, you'll need to reach a Net Worth of $10,000. Once you've met the requirement, interact with the NPC to receive repeatable fishing quests. These quests require you to catch fish with a combined value of a specified amount for rewards, including Gems, Money, and more.

I'll recommend stocking up on Fishing Rods when you win one in Farmyard Auctions. It's an easier way to complete the NPCs' quests. If you're running out of inventory space, upgrade it using Gems.

Is Fishing Worth It?

Yes and no. While Fishing can reward you with some of the rarest items in the game, getting a Fishing Rod can be a hassle in my opinion. You'll first need to participate in Farmyard Auctions and hope a Fishing Rod appears. Even then, depending on its condition, it may not have much durability left.

All Rods I have found in Auctions till now last only five to six catches before breaking. The most annoying part is that these Rods cannot be repaired. Despite this, Fishing can still be highly profitable if you're lucky enough to reel in some of the game's rarest Accessories. The Fishing Quests can also earn you some Gems and Cash.

That is all for Fishing in Storage Hunters Open World. Make sure to check out the full Storage Hunters Open World Wiki to get more game-related information.
