Do the app icons on your home screen or app drawer seem too big or too small for you? You can change the app icon size to as per your preference using the built-in settings or the Good Lock app. Here’s how to adjust the app icon size on your Samsung Galaxy phone.
1. Change Grid Size in Home Screen Settings
The easiest option is to change the home screen and app drawer grid size. Grid size is basically the number of rows and columns that determine how many app icons can fit on your screen.
A smaller grid size (e.g., 4×5) will result in larger icons and allow for fewer icons on the screen, while a larger grid size (e.g., 5×6) will result in smaller icons and allow for more icons on the screen. Follow the steps below.
1. Touch and hold an empty area on your home screen.
2. Tap on Settings at the bottom right corner.
3. Select Home screen grid. Choose your preferred grid size (e.g., 4×5, 5×6).
4. Similarly, change the Apps screen grid if you’d like to.
5. Tap Done to save the changes.
You can also change how big or small your phone’s overall user interface (UI), including icons, text, and other elements look in Settings > Display > Screen zoom.
2. Adjust Icon Size Using Good Lock
Want to increase or decrease the icon size without changing the number of icons on your home screen? Say hello to Good Lock. It’s an official app from Samsung to tweak and customize different aspects of your phone, including the app icon size. Here’s how:

6. The icon size will apply to your home screen and app drawer.
