Control: Resonant - All Side Story Quests

control Resonant All Side Story Quests

There are 18 side story quests in Control Resonant, and most of them will not come to you. You need to go find them by exploring each zone thoroughly. A few unlock naturally through story progress, but the majority require talking to the right NPC or stumbling into the right area at the right time.

  • Freeze Frame is one of the earliest you can grab. Head to the second floor of the Watchtower during your first conversation with Zoe, and it unlocks right there.
  • Panopticon Service Request is the other easy early grab. The moment you reach the FBC Field Office for the first time, talk to Langston, and he hands it to you immediately.
  • Crossing the Threshold is found in Central. Head to the loading docks on the west side of the FBC Field Office, and you will trigger it.
  • Urban Survival sits in the parking lot just south of the Evacuation Zone. Easy to walk past if you are not paying attention to the southern edges of the zone.
  • Last Taxi is tucked inside an alley on the west side of the Evac building in the Evacuation Zone. One of the more hidden early quests.
  • Unsupervised Science unlocks when you find any FBC test facility. The closest one to your starting point is in the underground tunnel east of Patterned Factory in Central.
  • Carbon Copy is a three-part chain that starts in The Park. Find Heidi inside the Mold-infested building west of the FBC Base. Part II triggers after completing Act 1 when Dr. Florez contacts you at the FBC Field Office in Central. Part III begins the moment Part II ends.
  • The Complete Set is found in Downtown. Head northwest to the Auction House to pick it up.
  • The Party Won't Stop is in The West Incursion Zone. Find the apartment building on the western street of the zone.
  • Into the Valley of Death becomes available after you finish the Act 1 story missions. Return to Langston at the Central FBC Field Office, and he will give it to you.
  • Pope's Research is one of the few side quests that unlocks automatically. It becomes available at the start of Act 3 without any extra steps needed and is required to progress the main story through The Unknown zone.
  • A New Directive triggers when you receive a mysterious call from a stranger while exploring The Unknown Region. It commonly activates while you are already working through Pope's Research.
  • Zoe's Briefing, New Growth, and Maintenance Protocol all become available together after completing The Hedron Link at the end of Act 2. Follow Zoe's Briefing first, and the other two will open up from there.
  • Mapping the New New York is an ongoing quest that starts the moment you unlock the map of Central by talking to the worker NPC at that location.
  • Every Dog Has Her Day is one of the most laid-back quests in the game. Find any of the dogs scattered across the city and retrieve a toy for it to add the objective to your log. There is no set starting point.

World Feats and FBC Tasks

These are optional repeatable quests found in the open world and at FBC bounty boards across each region.

  • World Feats include Mockery, Suspended Extermination, Hold the Line, Altered Tracking, Pattern Break, Air Drop, Mold Infestation, The Firebreak Job, Apex Hunt, and Hiss Hive.
  • FBC Tasks are bounty board quests available at FBC bases and include Escort Rangers, Collect Packages, Defeat Hostiles, Destroy Object, Scout Location, and Control Resonant tasks that refresh regularly.
