The Wear’em & Wash’em laundromat puzzle in Control: Resonant might be confusing at first. There’s a room full of washing machines, a strange note filled with numbers, and a hidden secret waiting somewhere behind it all. Figuring out how the numbers connect to the machines is the part that you need to solve. Here’s how to solve the Wear’em & Wash’em Laundromat puzzle in Control: Resonant.
Wear’em & Wash’em Laundromat Location in Control Resonant
The laundromat is in the southern part of the Central zone, in a large open plaza to the east of the Field Office. You're looking for the southeastern corner of the plaza, and the building itself is the Wear'em & Wash'em. If you're coming from the Patterned Factory, head south and look west of the East Park Station entrance.

You'll reach this area naturally through story progression in the first few hours of the game, so you shouldn't have to go too far out of your way.

Control Resonant Wear’em & Wash’em Laundromat Puzzle Answer
Once you're inside the laundromat, walk to the board at the back of the laundromat. There are two notes pinned to it.
- One is a customer complaint about broken machines, which isn't useful.
- The other one is labelled the Laundry Puzzle, and it's been left there by the management as a "fun number puzzle" for customers.
The note shows a grid of 1s and 0s. Each row of numbers corresponds to a physical row of washing machines in the laundromat, where:
- 1 means that the machine should be on.
- 0 means that the machine should be off.
The grid in the note looks like this:
| Row | Code | What to Do |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 0001000 | Turn on the 4th machine (the middle one) |
| 2 | 001100 | Turn on the 3rd and 4th machines (the middle two) |
| 3 | 100001 | Turn on the 1st and 6th machines (the two ends) |
| 4 | 000000 | All machines stay off |
| 5 | 000000 | All machines stay off |
| 6 | 000000 | All machines stay off |
| 7 | 100000 | Turn on the 1st machine (far left only) |
Wear’em & Wash’em Laundromat Puzzle Layout
Since the layout of the laundromat is pretty confusing, here is how to read the room:
- Row 1 - When you're facing the cork board, turn to your left. The back wall has a row of seven washing machines. That's Row 1.
- Row 2 - This is the set of six machines facing back toward you after you turn around.
- Row 3 - A set of machines that sit back-to-back with Row 2.
- Row 4 and 5 - A set of machines that sit back-to-back just across Rows 2 and 3.
- Row 6 - The stack of washing machines on the western wall on the left-hand side.
- Row 7 - The set of six machines against the back wall near the front of the store.
Control Resonant Wear’em & Wash’em Laundromat Puzzle Rewards
Once all the correct machines are on and everything else is switched off, a wall at the back of the shop slides open, revealing a stairway going down. Another Secret Hideout. Head down to find your reward:
- Health Upgrade point from an ice cream stand inside the room
- Visitation and Stay Protocol (collectible document)
- Do Not Leave The Shelter (collectible document)
Make sure every non-required machine is switched off before you consider the puzzle solved. The game checks the entire room, not just the ones that need to be on. If any machine is running that shouldn't be, the wall won't open. Good luck solving the puzzle!
