If you have more than 1,000 subscribers on YouTube, you can ask questions to your viewers using the community posts or within a video using YouTube cards. However, the option is hidden under the settings. Here is a quick how-to on how to create polls on YouTube. Note: If you have 1,000 subscribers but still can't find the community option, you might have to enable it. To do so, click on your account icon and then Your Channel. Select Customize channel. Computer
  • Sign in to YouTube account
  • At the top of the page, tap on Upload option and then Create post.
  • In the box, click on the poll option, and type in your question followed by options.
  • Click Post.

  • Tap on the account icon and select My channel.
  • Select the Community tab.
  • Tap on the text box on the top and select poll icon from the bottom

Make a Poll using YouTube cards

Unfortunately, both the YouTube mobile app as well as YouTube Studio app has no option to add cards to a video yet. Still, if you are in a hurry and don't have access to a computer, you can open YouTube in your mobile browser and switch to desktop mode to add cards. The interface won't be perfect, but still doable in an emergency situation.  Following are the steps on how to make a poll using YouTube cards.
  • Sign in to your YouTube account, go to your Video Manager.
  • Find the video you want to add cards to and select Edit.
  • In the tab bar at the top, select Cards.
  • Select Add card and choose the poll option
  • Type in your question and options
  • Click Create card.

These polls last forever, so, if you like to remove them after some time, you can do so by going to community post find the poll you want to remove, click on the three vertical dots next to it and choose the delete option.
