Update: We last updated this article with the latest Research Tree upgrades on June 14, 2026.
Mini War is about capturing territories with advanced weapons and strong military units. You must also build a strong economy with efficient civilians to produce output in larger amounts. And building a secure empire is also equally important for your defense. In the beginning, you'll start weak, like in any other game. As you progress, you unlock upgrades that make you a formidable force. This is possible with the Research Tree in Mini War. In this article, we will detail everything you need to know about this in-game mechanic.
What is the Research Tree
Research Tree is a feature that lets you unlock upgrades related to military, production, and market, as well as advanced end-game features. You can access the system by tapping the Research button on the left side of the screen. Each upgrade costs money, with subsequent upgrades being progressively more expensive.
There are 62 upgrades in total that you can unlock in the Mini War Research Tree. Basically, there are three upgrade paths: Military, Economy, and Systems. And, you will find related upgrades in each category. Find out about all upgrades and their cost in the next section.
All Mini War Research Tree Upgrades and Cost
You can perform various upgrades in each category. For instance, you can upgrade troop damage, army slots, army size, rocket limit, and more in the Military category. And, each upgrade follows a specific path. For instance, if you want to upgrade your troop damage, you must follow a fixed path in the Research Tree: Army Training > Officer Training > Elite Training > Mech Research> Spider Base > Air Fortress.
The other two categories, Economy and System, also follow a similar pattern. That said, below are the details of all category upgrades, costs, and their effects:
