Fortnitemares 2026 Trailer Is Out – All 7 Collabs and Skins Confirmed

Epic just dropped the Fortnitemares 2026 trailer, and October is looking pretty expensive if you love horror movies. Seven Fortnite collabs have been confirmed, a batch of original skins has been revealed, and there are hints that more surprises could show up later in the month. When Does Fortnitemares 2026 Start

Fortnitemares 2026 goes live on Thursday, October 1st, 2026. Fortnite servers will go down in the morning or afternoon for routine maintenance, and based on how past updates have gone, you should be looking at around an hour or two of downtime before you can jump in.

All 7 Confirmed Fortnitemares 2026 Collabs and Skins

The trailer made it official. Here are all seven confirmed collabs for this year's event:

1. FNAF - Five Nights at Freddy's

FNAF is clearly the centerpiece collab this year. Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie, Foxy, and Chica are all making it into the game, and the collab is confirmed to feature the "Join Us for a Bite" song by JT Music, which is basically the anthem of the FNAF fandom at this point. This one has been building for a while, and it looks like Epic went all in on it.

2. Freddy Krueger - A Nightmare on Elm Street

Freddy Krueger is back, and he's coming from A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge specifically. So, we're getting both Freddys in the same Fortnitemares. Freddy Fazbear from FNAF and Freddy Krueger in the same October event.

3. Beetlejuice

Beetlejuice is a natural fit for Fortnitemares. The character design translates well into Fortnite's art style, and from what the trailer showed, the skin looks solid, just like the movie back then. He's got enough visual personality to stand out in a match.

4. Slender Man

Slender Man is a proper nostalgia hit for anyone who was online in the early 2010s. He was the OG internet horror icon long before YouTube horror content was a genre, and seeing him finally make it into Fortnite is a fun callback to that era. Newer players might not fully get the cultural weight of this one, but trust me, Slender Man had people scared of trees for years.

5. The Purge

The Purge: Election Year is getting a skin, with the iconic white mask and the aesthetic that made the franchise recognizable.

6. Black Clover

Black Clover is the odd one out here. It's the only non-horror collab in the lineup, but anime crossovers always bring a different crowd into Fortnite, and Black Clover has a solid fanbase.

7. Obsession

The Obsession collab is the one that caught us off guard, since the scene is literally at the end of the trailer. Epic dropped a One Wish Willow image in the trailer (and a duct-taped door earlier), both direct references to the film.

The obvious skin here is Nikki, played by Inde Navarrette, who's now also set to play Rogue in the MCU. But if it's not the skin that's coming, then the One Wish Willow can be a consumable that will give you a supernatural ability in the game. We'll see when it's out!

Original Fortnitemares 2026 Skins and Sprites

Beyond the collabs, Epic is also releasing a set of original Fortnitemares skins. The trailer showed what looks like a doll theme running through several of them. There's also a nurse outfit that leans into a creepy horror vibe.

Two new Sprites are also joining the game for Fortnitemares 2026. Epic actually sent 3D-printed versions of these to select creators like Evrizzle and speedsterfn, which is how they got revealed before any official announcement.

The official powers haven't been confirmed yet, but dataminers have already dug up some details on what each one reportedly does:

It's also worth remembering that Epic has revealed mid-event surprise collabs before. Last year's Wednesday Addams crossover wasn't announced until a few weeks into Fortnitemares. The Exorcist and Chucky are currently rumored for this year, so the list above might not be final.
