Grow a Chicken Fighter: How to Get the 404 x Ash Fusion

The 404 Chick is one of the strongest chickens in Grow a Chicken Fighter right now but its default skill is not the best. The fix for that is pairing it with the Cycle of Ash skill from the Radiant Fenghuang through a fusion. The result is one of the most powerful builds in the current meta. Here is exactly how to get 404 x Ash Fusion in Grow a Chicken Fighter.

Prerequisites to Get 404 x Ash Fusion in Grow a Chicken Fighter

Before you start, here is a quick overview of what the fusion requires:

Both chickens can also hatch from the Blazing Egg, so if you are struggling with either of the main egg types, try your luck there during the Hot Event when Blazing Eggs become available.

Step 1: How to Get the 404 Chick

The 404 Chick comes from Cursed Eggs but getting there takes a few steps. Follow this path from the beginning:

Start with the Classic Rooster to generate Nest Eggs. Hatch those until you get a Cosmo Brat which has a 100% chance to drop Scratch Eggs making it the most efficient early option. Use the Cosmo Brat to farm Scratch Eggs then hatch them until you land an NPC Chick which has a 12% hatch chance from Scratch Eggs.

Once you have the NPC Chick, put it to work farming Cursed Eggs. It drops a Cursed Egg 80% of the time every 2 minutes which is solid but not the end goal. Keep hatching Cursed Eggs until you get the Stone Face Chicken which has a 19% hatch chance and crucially has a 100% Cursed Egg drop rate. At higher levels, its timer also drops down to one Cursed Egg per minute, making it significantly faster.

With Stone Face running, keep hatching Cursed Eggs until the 404 Chick drops. It is a Secret rarity chicken, so expect it to take a while at under 1% hatch chance.

Step 2: How to Get the Radiant Fenghuang

The Radiant Fenghuang hatches from Royal Eggs at a 1% chance. Getting to Royal Eggs efficiently follows a similar chain:

Start again with the Cosmo Brat farming Scratch Eggs. Hatch Scratch Eggs until you get the Crest Rooster which drops Royal Eggs 60% of the time. Use the Crest Rooster to farm Royal Eggs and hatch them until you get the Rooster of Fortune which has a 100% Royal Egg drop rate. Fuse the Rooster of Fortune to boost its lay speed then keep hatching Royal Eggs until the Radiant Fenghuang appears.

Step 3: Complete the Fusion

Once you have both the 404 Chick and the Radiant Fenghuang head to the fusion menu. Before confirming the fusion lock the Cycle of Ash skill on the Radiant Fenghuang. This is the most important step. Locking it guarantees that the Cycle of Ash carries over to the fused chicken rather than being replaced randomly. Confirm the fusion and you now have the 404 x Ash build.
