One of the quieter additions to Forza Horizon 6 that does not get talked about enough is the Aftermarket Car system. While most players focus on the Auction House or the Auto Show for expanding their garage with the fastest cars, Aftermarket cars offer another option that is often cheaper and occasionally throws up something genuinely special. If you have been driving past those green car icons on the minimap without stopping, you have probably already missed a few good deals. Let us take a look at what exactly Aftermarket Cars are and how to find them in Forza Horizon 6.

What Are Aftermarket Cars in Forza Horizon 6?

Aftermarket Cars are vehicles that appear at fixed spots across Japan and are sold at a discount compared to their standard Auto Show price. Some of them are completely stock, while others come with modifications already applied, tuned toward specific race types like road racing or drifting. You will occasionally find Forza Edition cars in the mix as well, which makes checking these spots regularly worth the habit.

The cars available at each location are not permanent. They rotate over time, and once you buy a car from a spot, a different one will eventually take its place when you return to that area. Because of this, if you see something you want and you have the credits for it, buying it immediately is always the right call. These are listed as limited-time offers, so waiting around to think about it can mean losing the car entirely. Note that once bought, you can also gift your car to a friend or sell it for money.

Where to Find Aftermarket Cars?

You do not need to stumble into them by accident. While driving around Japan, keep an eye on your minimap for a green car icon with CR written next to it. That is the Aftermarket Car marker, and it appears whenever you are close enough to one. Driving toward the marker and getting near the vehicle will bring up the car's name on screen along with a prompt to interact with it.

The game has 25 Aftermarket Car spawn points across the map. Refer to the map below for all Aftermarket Cars locations in Forza Horizon 6:

How to Buy Aftermarket Cars in Forza Horizon 6?

Once you interact with an Aftermarket Car, you get the option to test drive it for two minutes before committing to a purchase. After the test drive ends, or if you skip it entirely, you can purchase the car directly from the interaction menu. The only things to keep in mind are that you need enough credits on hand and that there are no refunds once the purchase goes through. However, before you buy the car, I highly recommend you look at the stats of the car and compare it to the cars you already have.

The pool of cars that can appear at Aftermarket spots is varied and covers a solid range of makes and classes. Some of the cars that have been spotted at these locations include:

  • Dodge Challenger SRT Demon
  • Honda Civic Type R
  • Hyundai Veloster N
  • Mazda MX-5 Miata and MX-5 RF
  • Honda NSX-R'92
  • Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series
  • Mitsubishi GTO
  • Nissan 370Z NISMO and Stagea RS Four V
  • Porsche 911 GT3 and GT2 RS
  • Subaru Impreza WRX STi and BRZ Forza Edition
  • BMW M8 Competition Coupé
  • Subaru SVX

This list is still being updated as more cars are discovered at these spots, so the full pool is likely larger than what is confirmed right now.

Aftermarket Cars are one of the best ways to build out your garage without spending full Auto Show prices. Forza Edition cars occasionally appear in the pool, and they are worth checking every time you pass a green icon on the map. Check out our FH6 wiki for more guides.
